This is Where we Hide

Within the perimeters it sustains,
driving to my weakness desire.
Knowing life could not be to blame,
starting the flame ignites the fire.
Deep within the forbidden path,
Life grows strong to end.
I told them how I found this place,
We could learn to play pretend.
Depending on thier souls I guess,
We thought resources made our lives.
We looked way deep in ourselves,
No matter the break or how many times.
I watched the flame turn to fire,
the world began to burn.
I saw the rose that could be,
The lesson I never learned.
