I love you

by marla   Mar 14, 2005

What on my body is
red white and blue?
The color of my wrists,
sad, but true.
The red is the blood,
bleeding for you.
The white is my skin,
which was caressed by you.
The blue is my veins,
which throbbed for you.
And there's clear
also there,
which make up the tears.

But through all the torture,
the love and the horror,
too late I realize only the truth:
Darling, I love you.
