The life of me The first 16 years 1

by Sinister Soire   Mar 14, 2005

*The next many poems are being posted for my birthday and are a personal summary of the first 16 years of my life*

Welcome to the life of me
Starting at the first beginning
My consciousness from A to Z
Up until the constant spinning

When I was baby my mom told
That I had a holy guardian
I will have it till I’m old
Through all my days as civilian

It has protected me many times
From heavy traffic roads
Like with cars passing sometimes
Whisking past bus loads

One time so close did one come
That my mother saw an aura
Almost blown to kingdom come
My curiosity worse than Pandora

Many times did my luck hold
And protect me through the years
Making me far too bold
Removing all my needed fears

My child years were often quiet
There were not many times of strife
Yet my friends were a constant riot
They were my whole entire life

My friend was there for me often
Like when my brother hit my head
When the rock made my skull soften
He was there while I slowly bled

He took me up the hill to his house
Where his parents drove me home
Spilling blood on his mothers blouse
Soaking many rags like foam

My parents were ready for a party
But were instantly undressed and ready
In their goal to get me hearty
To the hospital my pulse was steady

Surviving that immense ordeal
Brought my friends close to my heart
I know their friendship was true and real
We were so hard to pull apart
