Everything covered in a damp silver shawl
The sun shining down and causing the all the silver to glisten prettily
Flowers beginning to blossom
Reds, oranges, violets are starting to appear among all the green leaves

Everything seems so fresh and new
Even the air seems refreshed and ready for a new better beginning
All seems so perfect, like nothing could ruin anything
Every flower and oxygen molecule ready for a new beginning, better than the old

Or maybe I’m just crazy and imagining that everything is new and refreshed
Maybe it’s the same silver shawl that was draped over everything last year
Maybe it’s the same flowers, with the same blossoms
Maybe I’m a fool for thinking things could get better

Or maybe I’m not crazy and this is real
Maybe everything is new
Maybe everything is trying to be better than the old
Maybe everything is perfect
