To See

By David R. Bowling

~As I Run through this thing I can’t see,
Stumbling, falling, but on what?
Looking just to see nothing,
Makes me remember all the wrong turns.

~As I try to remove this blind,
I reach for nothing.
For my hands glide though like a ghost,
But is only felt on the inside.

~As I run in fear, trying to get away,
From this thing that has this great blind.
I lean to my friends for help,
Only to be set in many directions.

~As some say hide, some say confront,
All different views.
From all different people,
Just to cause mass confusion.

~As I have learned from all of this,
Its time to hear what I have to say.
And go on my first response,
Right or wrong it’s what I must do.

~As I run through this thing I can’t see,
I learn to find the one that has a blind just like me.
So that we can beat this thing that has us blind,
As we start to beat this thing called love.

~To see this thing called love.
