Broken Promise and a Lie

by Slaughtered Pixie   Mar 15, 2005

Go away, disappear, just leave me alone
I don't want you to see me cut to the bone

Don't look at the blood or the pretty slash
Don't look at the blade or the gruesome gash

Don't look for the feelings shouting through my lips
Don't look at the depression, broken promises or trips

Don't call to God and ask him what I've done
Don't even look for him, there's no God to get an answer from

Don't call to the strangers who only point and stare
Don't call to the heavens who do not really care

Don't call to the heart mangled and dead on the ground
Don't call to the wondering soul, it's far gone now

Don't look at my arms, completely covered in red
Don't look at my tears, the ones I've painfully bled

Don't look at my face, it has already disappeared
Don't look inside of my mind, don't search for my personal fears

Don't look at my clothes, so old, ripped up and torn
Don't look at my mouth or watch me talk, I wish I wasn't born

Don't look at my skin, it's so pale, gray and dry
Don't look at the countless tears, I seem to always cry

Don't look for my sins, or what I possibly did wrong
Don't listen to my thoughts out loud, or my sad and broken song

Don't look at my bleeding wounds, so scarred and incomplete
Don't even use an effort, I'm not worth someone remembering

Don't look for the blood, that drains from my eyes
Go away, just leave me alone.. you're just another Broken Promise and a Lie
