Grandmas kisses

by BloodScars   Mar 16, 2005

I watch the stars
go one by one
shooting through the sky
the lights so intense
through the dark night sky
i think of why you had to die
i think of your your bright smile
and they way you used to laugh
i think of how you used to help me
when i needed help the most
how u used to carry me
when i was down
when neither of my parents
new anything at all

i think of your love
and your warm hugs
i think of the past time
with your grandkids like me
every memory good
yet the day
you went into the hospital
i felt it in my heart
that day wasn't good
i knew u weren't coming home
yet i never told
two weeks later
your funeral service
and still today i cry
u the only one who held me tight
when things just went right
now all my pain and sorrow
come back to haunt me

after todays service
with another loved grandmother
layed down to rest
another day full of your memories
come back to give me a test
to see if i was really
what i said to be
yet every word i spoken
every word i pray
i love you grandma
and i will each and every day
