A Whiper In My Ear

by Angel Sanctuary ©   Mar 16, 2005

After you died, you often tapped me on the shoulder
Reminded of the kiss you used to give me
Like a sharp pain in my chest of past memories
My bruised heart full of needles, full of pain
Your shadow whispers in my ear as I hold back my tears
You ask me to make a wish, one last wish
The sound of the wind grazes my ear
I look around because I feel you near
But I’m reminded you’re never here
You’ll never be here again, just a whisper in my ear
In my mind I wish I was dead
Shall I in hale that wish like oxygen?

=========================
The first line and the last line are not mine. I wrote this for my Creative Writing class. The teacher told us to write a poem using the first line as the first one in our poem and the last line for the last line in our poem. Hope I did a good job. Tell me what you think. Take Care!
