Painting On The Lies

by ♥-Sharon Ardern-♥   Mar 17, 2005

Lies and tears blinding the view
Cries and fears keeping him from you
What escape do you have planned
How could you possibly make him understand?

You painted a world that wasn’t real
It’s no surprise he doesn’t believe what you feel
It’s gonna take a lot to undo all every little lie
I hope you're happy, see, go watch him cry

You turn to me and ask for help to sort out the mess
But darling you should have known you’d have to confess
Why build a love on what isn't even there?
Surely you saw that it would never be fair?

My dear I’m going to walk away, it’s up to you
If you can clear the lies and set the real view
You’ll be lucky if he forgives and comes back
If not, you’ll have to settle with a world painted black.
