Daddys Lil` Girl

by Jessica Lynn   Mar 18, 2005

I'm not going to be that little girl forever.
You may think I'm just fine but I'm falling apart every-things not together.
I don't want to be the girl you want me to be.
I don't want to be overprotected, I want to be me!
You cant just keep me locked up.
Its like your a dog never letting go of his pup.
You say no makeup, and stay away from boys.
Does it look like I'm little? Still playing with my favorite toys?
I feel like i cant do anything without your approval Dad.
I don't want to feel like this, Do you not trust me? Think I'll be bad?
I am sorry that I really cant be that perfect girl.
Feeling the way i feel makes me sick it makes me want to hurl.
I know that i cant always succeed.
I'm OK with that i don't always want to be the one doing a good deed.
I want to be able to go out and do things.
I'm ready, Ive been sitting at home , I'm really ready for all that life brings.

Hey, I know what you mean, you're father means that he's doing the right thing, and eventually he will let you go, just give him some time, and take little babysteps, that will make it much more easy for the both of you

I feel what you feel here girl, I'm WAY overprotected too....
oh, in one of your quotes you said,
    "If love hurts,
    Then why the hell love?"
and the reason to love is because love really is the greatest thing in the world, and it's really what keeps this world spinning.....like Amit says, Always believe in love.
