Mirror Of Truth

by Bumble-Bee-xx   Mar 21, 2005

She Gets Up every morning
Her room is surrounded in mirrors
They all tell something
They tell lies

She get out of bed
she looks at her reflection
She sees a care-free girl, a girl with a smile

But why doesn't she feel like this?
She truly hates her life
She can't stand to live another day
She needs to get out

All at once all the mirrors brake
There is glass everywhere
She Falls to the ground
What is happening to her life?

She looks up
Why is there a mirror still there, UN-shattered?
she gets up, and walks toward this mirror
The glass cuts into her feet

She sees her reflection
This mirror does not lie
She sees the real her
This is her Mirror Of Truth

She sees herself; a girl of only 13
She has cuts all down her arms
She grasps the scissors tightly
She has black circles around her eyes

She can't believe what she has seen
She looks down at her own arms, there are no cuts.
She looks up again and now the girl is crying and shaking her head

She will not let this happen to herself
She will not give in
Though her world has come undone
she promises herself this will not happen

though words are easier said then done
she gave in
she is now that reflection
I am now that girl
