Misconceptions and Contradictions

by Randee   Mar 21, 2005

I've spent years trying to figure out how I went wrong,
But that was a waste of time,
I should of thought how I did right.

I cut the ties from those I love,
To give them a better life,
To not have me in their eyes,
Or in their minds.

I am the saint of sinners,
The one who hurts when I care,
I steal away the time counting down to our deaths.

This is my life,
Full of misconceptions and contradictions,
I hate what I am,
But can't change it.

I see no point in life,
But I keep on living,
There is no true happiness,
Just moments of bliss,
No knight in shining armor,
Just love with an empty wallet,
They say love is free,
That won't get you anywhere in life.

This is my life,
Full of misconceptions and contradictions,
I hate what I am,
But can't change it.
