While others die

by stacy   Mar 22, 2005

We live in a paradise
Looking around all I see are young people getting in trouble
Babies screaming
Mamas bleeding and begging for no more
Husbands beating and killing
Young girls rapped on street corners
Old ladies begging for a quarter
Homeless teenagers stealing for a living
Stuck up rich kids shoving it all in
Wasting their lives sitting at home
Getting stoned getting high
No one cares while others die
We think of our own
Just us and ourselves
Not those poor people
Not people dieing
Not even little babys crying
Open your eyes
Open them up
Look around and look at this stuff
We live in a paradise everyone says
We live in a place of money and jobs
Of love and happiness
Its all a big cover
Its all just a lie
Cause no one is caring while others die
