lighting bugs and lots of hugs

little green elves and chocolate shelves

garage sales and fairy tales

little tiny houses and squeaky grey mouses

falling leaves and school yard theives

no more hugs and jitter bugs

to fall in love and kill a dove

cloudy days and a confusing maize

broken hearts and quickly thrown darts

learning to drive and taking lives

broken dreams and sun beams

switching beds and run ins with the feds

overdose of meds and best friends dead

saying good-bye and getting high

a hospital room and memories loom

going back home and garden gnomes

pictures on the wall and good times in it all

warm showers and fresh May flowers

cleaning the floor and memories in a drawer
