A kiss of hello and good-bye

I see the face of a girl
i wonder who she is, i feel so sad, she looks all alone and sad
i call out "hey" she doesn't make a sound

i see she has something in her hand
What is it i wonder, then i see the redness come from her wrists
I don't know what to do, do i try to stop it or do i let her go

I reach for her and then i burst into tears
i feel the glass of the mirror
when i look, i look into the face of a child I've known for so long
as i put down the scissors
i come back to reality and realize what i have just done

i go to my room and lay in my bed
As i sleep i feel a kiss of a hello but yet a good-bye

I never saw that sad girl in the mirror again
