Dreams

When I was younger I thought all dreams came true. And back then they did. A wish for a teddy bear was granted. A dream of that bike I wanted came true. Dreams were granted. Life was simple. I never imagined one day id be sitting praying that one of my dreams, one I've had for some long, would come true. Back then I didn’t have to pray, I didn’t have to wish, they were just granted. But as we grow older, things change, people change, life changes. Dreams are from the heart and consist of much more than a simple teddy bear from any store. Dreams now hold feelings, feelings you cant buy with a credit card. You begin to wish for that "perfect guy" that "dream guy". To put it simply you just dream of "him\". But dreams aren’t granted as quickly anymore. You find that "perfect guy" and you dream and wish he’d love you. He’s perfect for you. You felt amazing when he hugged you. That night it was just you and him-it was perfect. The way he cares about you. The way he smiles. The way he thanks you. The way he’s there for anything. How he is your best friend. How you can tell him anything in the world, and he wont tell a soul. The way he acts. The way he talks. The way he walks. The way he is. It’s all perfect. And you think back to the way you met him. You weren’t expecting love at such a young age. You weren’t expecting to find him this early. To be able to look at him and say, "god, I love him so much". You never planned on this. But soon you realize he’s there. He’s the one. He’s your "perfect guy" your "dream guy" he’s "him". And you fall deeper and deeper in love with each word he says. The feelings grow and grow and soon you begin to think what it would be like without him. You think of a life without that guy. Without your best friend. And you realize life wouldn’t be worth living if he weren’t a part of your life. That’s when you know you’re in love. You pray that your dreams will be granted like they were when you were younger. You hope and wish that he will feel the same way about you. You can only imagine the happiness you would feel if he loved you. As you continue to love him, he soon finds his "dream girl" too. Except its not you. He finds everything you found in him. In her. In her. In her. All the love you felt he feels for her. You realize soon enough that you cant give up. You can’t sit around and say "I don’t love him anymore". You can’t fight your feelings. You can’t stop loving him. Because dreams involve feelings now. And feelings don’t just disappear. You think about him all the time. Everything reminds you of him. You go to sleep dreaming of you and him. Being together. Being happy. Being in love. You wake up thinking of him. Praying he will be okay. Hoping deep inside today he will realize that he really loves you. That he made a mistake. That inside his heart belongs to you. Yet with each passing day you realize that this will not occur, that he is in love. That he doesn’t love you. You grow more and more tired. You feel weak and sick. Your heart doesn’t beat as fast. Your spirits aren’t as high. You don’t feel those butterflies anymore. Truth sets in. he loves her. He will love her. He will always love her. Truth doesn’t erase the way you feel though. So now a new challenge faces you. You know you found that "perfect guy" that "dream guy" you know you found *him*. Yet, she has him. She loves him. He loves her. You don’t matter anymore. The love you have for him cant change the way he feels. You soon remember those days of playing in the sandbox. The days of wishing for teddy bears. And getting them. The way wishes were granted. And you dream, wish, hope, pray that for once what you have wanted for so long will soon be yours. At such a young age you were so lucky to find him, to find true love. Yet at such a young age your heart was [[ b r o k e n ]]. Torn to pieces. (( s h a t t e r e d )). Now you realize love isn’t always happy. People don’t always have the same feelings. Dreams don’t always come true
