Silent Pain

by prettyinpink20   Mar 25, 2005

Pain is like the silence...

It's there all the time
You feel it most when you're lonely
There is no one to comfort you
It engulfs you, only

There seems to be no time
You fall into your mind
There seems to be no reason to get back up
No reason to try to find

Your thoughts begin to whisper to you
They whisper lies that you believe
And then you find that you're too blind
Too blind to be able to see

You cry, and even if you sob it is quiet
Because there is no one to hear you
All alone in the silence of pain
With no one to see you through

You begin to think things that you usually wouldn't
And you cry
You begin to wonder what's happening to you
And then you ask, "Why?"

If you open up a little
It's useless because no one really understands
No one understands your pain
To see that it's all you can stand

You can't take the silence
For once you want it to be loud
But you can't make it that way
Because you're lost in the crowd

You're lost in your world of silent pain
No one can get you away
You want to be out, you want to be free
But you can't, it's all dismay

The world of silence caves you in
Will you ever, ever be free?
Now in my world of silent pain
I can't even find me
