Do You Even Care?

You see their tear stained faces but you turn and walk away you hear their silent screams and pleads how they wish just one would stay

you see the cuts that are unseen and you know the blood thats spilled you see the guilt in their eye because them selfs they've not yet killed

you see the pain when you look into their eyes but you never seem to look for long i guess you have something better to do with your lifes and think they'll find where they belong

but ask yourself these questions what if you stayed? looked in their eyes but didn't look away? What if for once you cared about someone else's life even if it was someone you never knew even if it was the geek,goth, or just another label of the school

at first they may push you away but try to be friends help them out and promise you'll stay make them laugh and wipe away the tears when they cry let then know you need them in your life

but hey why should you care? about all the lives lost cause not one person was there

you may wonder how i know cause i used to be one of them my pain i would never show!

i was a cutter i cut with anything i could i just wanted to bleed to feel the pain i thought if people knew they would truly think i was insane

so i kept it all inside my poor heart shattered and broken all my blood that spilled for words that someone cared were left unspoken

they all knew what i did when they looked into my hurting eyes but they kept their mouths shut and let me hide behind my fake smiles and lies

but then i met someone who actually cared never left me alone and when i cried was always there never called me insane but said he needed me by his side for once i felt like living my life

i promised him forever and with it my life so for him i threw away the bleeding and the knife

so please show someone that all lives are worth while and it'll all be worth it for even a moment they can really smile
