Whats a parent?

So you say you're my parents
but what really is a parent?
yeah, you pay my bills
sure you give me a place to live
But that's not what a parent is
I think parents are people that are always there supporting you no matter what you go through
they lend a hand when the rest of the world doesn't care anymore
they always love you more than life itself
they'll do anything they can for you just because they love you
so how can you call yourself a parent?
all you've ever expressed for me is hate
you never talk to me
when you do, its always just about how horrible i am, that I'm a mistake, and you never should have had me
would you even care if I told you you're the reason for all my pain?
I've never asked for much
All I ever wanted was to feel loved
and you can't even do that
so are you really parents?
