Ghost

by brin macnamara   Mar 27, 2005

My wimpering heart lies tormented
its passion pacing like a caged beast
whilst a blanket of loneliness weighs down my sodden spirit.

I reach out to touch you so warm and alive
but tell me- how can you feel the body of a ghost?
Ghost of a love devoid of any existance.

If you knew how that even now I still wait
perhaps then you'd press your body close to mine
soul to soul
heart to heart
your lifeblood renascent
your aroma would be my catalyst
liberating every fragment of my being.
Enraptured.
In Love.
