I Never Had A Daddy Until Now

by Sierra   Mar 27, 2005

Growing up,
I’ve seen other little girls
Riding on their daddy’s shoulders
With a smile from ear to ear
I’d ask my Mama
“Where’s my daddy?”
And my Mama’s eyes always filled with tears
As she shook her head.

Looking back,
It was difficult
Knowing I didn’t have a daddy
Like all those other girls.

But God gave my Mama a miracle.
God gave us Jason.
Someone who could love us
And we could love him back.

Now I know why
I never had a daddy
God was saving Jason for us.
Now I’m glad I waited
Because I’ve got the best daddy ever.
