Superficiality

by charlotte   Mar 29, 2005

You smell vaguely of lies
It hurts
You bludgeon me with your apocryphal smiles
Why is everything so intolerably fake with you
How dare you anticipate sanity
You're perfection personified; that disguises nothing.
Crude imagery clouds my eyes
It's all-consuming self pity
Forget it.
A thick film of apathy
Shields me from the glare
Of impending chaos...
