The essence of life

Dreams are reality when it is first born
strength resides in a heart that has been torn
perception is a sight seen better through tears
true knowledge is acquired with the passing of years
truth comes from those who have been deceived
success granted to only those who have believed
treat others the way you'd like them to treat you
love can be given or received but if shared, it is true
whenever in doubt, always remain true to yourself
because honesty will forever outlast everything else
live each and every moment as if it was the last
always strive for the future, never dwell on the past
cherish everything you have that cannot be bought
all of the impossible can almost always be sought
remember pain is gradual, it too will fade
even the most courageous are still a little afraid
happiness comes to those who try, it is never easy
and life is in essence, everything we make it to be.
