Perfect Girls

by Emma Carnage   Mar 30, 2005

I see the girls walking
With their perfect legs
I see the girls talking
With their perfect lips

Every girl I see
Is more beautiful
Then I look down at me
And I feel so pitiful

Everything about them
Is just so perfect
They’re like a gem
Valuable and flawless

Then I see myself
And feel so ugly
Like I was left on a shelf
And left to rust

Then I see my scars
And I understand
That it’s written in the stars
That I should be like this

Then there’s no more self pity
And I move the hair from my eyes
Because I don’t want to be pretty
I am perfection in faults
