You're Gone

by Rachael   Mar 31, 2005

I know that we're through
And that we've both moved on,
But that doesn't really mean
My feelings for you are gone.

I see you with another girl
I'm not sure who she is,
But I know she isn't me
And I really don't like this.

I know that you don't want me
And nor do I want you,
But I don't want you to want her
Or any other too.

Your heart's supposed to be mine
It belongs to me,
I don't want to share with her
It's quite easy to see.

She may just be a friend
I don't really know,
I wish she would stop flirting
She really needs to go.

I don't know why I hate her
For she's done me no wrong,
Now I open up my eyes and see
It's been me all along.

It may be hard to understand
What I'm trying to say,
Half the time I don't even know
I contradict myself each day.

I know that we're through
And that we've both moved on,
I guess I can't accept the fact
That you're really gone.

This is about my ex-boyfriend. It's one of those weird situations where you don't necessarily want him, yet you don't want him to have anyone else either...I'm sure you've all been there before and know what I mean. It's a very confusing feeling, which is obvious to see in the poem...
