Because Kyle was in an accident

I know Kyle was in an accident
but you don't know how it is to be me
and see
the difference in the way I can and can't treat him
You tell me to treat him like I used to
but there are so many things I can't do
He has a bad temper now
and if I don't bow,
to his every command, he yells
and sometimes hits
but you can't handle his fits
So how can I,
look me in the eye
and tell me what I am supposed to do
when he acts like he is two
He is an instigator
and you know that
He starts fights with me
and I know you see
But yet you blame it on me
because Kyle was in an accident
He has a brain injury, and I know that
but he knows what he is doing most of the time
and yet you act like he has done no crime
Because Kyle was in an accident
You tell me that over and over again, and I know
He knows what feelings to show
so you blame the way he acts on his accident
And you tell me
Kyle was in an accident

My brother was in a critical car accident on November 11, 2004, his girlfriend died. And now my life has turned around, and at times i can't stand anything. My dad doesn't care about me and i just can't take the way Kyle plays the "poor kyle" game. This poem i wrote for my parents.
