Once there was a girl
Lost in the world
Just sat there
And watched her life twirl

She wanted to be
Someone special, someone real

Someone who’s love was always real

She wanted that special someone
Who she could talk to anytime
She gave her trust away
How she came to hate that day

She fell for a boy
He played with her heart
She didn’t know

Her knees were bleeding in the dirt
Tears rolled down her face
He had risen against his angel

He used his words so hatefully
She felt like such a clown
