Unnoticed Treasures

by dandy   Apr 1, 2005

A gentle breeze plays across,
soft skin on the face.
Eyelashes flutter as they feel,
this smooth wind's placid grace.

The warmth of a new sunrise,
early in the morn;
Sheds its light over the land,
another day is born.

The deep-red petals of roses,
tantalize the eyes.
Sweetness in the scent they carry
is pure without disguise.

A caring touch from a loving hand,
sends tingles up the spine.
Lips do part in one sweet kiss;
A notion so divine.

Soft breath from a baby's lungs;
Soft gurgles as he sleeps.
No quintessence can compare,
with the innocence he keeps.

The sleek and shiny hair
of the horse's flowing mane.
Their love, power and willingness is envied,
but we cannot obtain.

Lie down at dusk as night does come,
to end another day.
Crickets sing their lullaby,
as awareness is washed away......
