Song of the Blade

by Jason   Apr 2, 2005

The sting of the blade,
succumbs my mind;
Trying to wade through,
but feeling entwined.

The blood pours out,
as my pain flows away.
There will soon be a drought,
as my life is in dismay.

These scars get me no where,
nor accomplish any thing;
So why do i dare,
to let these blades sing?

Their words are soft,
but bring more pain.
These scars lay so close,
to fragile veins.

So why cut,
must I ask;
Does it come from the gut,
Or is it just another task...?
