He Won't Be There

Love can be a good thing,
but sometimes it can be bad,
Sometimes it can be happy,
Others make you sad,
At times it can be lonely, Sometimes even cold,
It is not just there, when you need a hand to hold,
You can’t touch it or pick it up; it won’t always be there,
He won’t always be around,
No matter how much you care.

    You tell me you love me as you push me away,
    you tell all your friends that I am gay,
    I loved you when you hurt me,
    time and again.
    You can't understand I need to heal my pain.
    I have to push you away lest I go mad,
    God I wish you wouldn't be so sad.
