Where do the hearts
That have been
Broken and bashed
Torn and shattered
Beaten and crushed
Bruised and scarred
Destroyed and lonesome
Restored for awhile
Only to be violated again
Where do they go?
When nobody cares
They're left for dead
And put down really low.
Where do they go
To be cleansed from their pain
And given the strength
To fight and carry on?
Please someone tell me
Where to take my heart
To soothe my pain
So I too, can move on.
