Real Smile

by Emily   Apr 6, 2005

She walks into school
she plays it well
pretending everything is ok
when her life's a living hell

No one has seen the bruises no one has seen the scars
no one has seen the tears shes cried
or the blood thats been poured

shes never had someone come over
and when people ask why
she says her house is under construction
...all she spills is lies.

No one knows where she lives
she always walks home
even though its 15 miles
its the slowest way home.

she walks though the front door
glass and bottles all over the floor
dad passed out in the chair
she tries not to make a sound

she walks into the bathroom
wipes her smile off
she pulls out her blade
and lets her feelings pour out

Thinking its the end
she feels better some how
and for the first time in a long time
she smiled a smile thats far from fake.
