I've lost you forever

by Rachel   Aug 25, 2003

You’re a friend,
That without,
I am nothing.

A friend that,
Without,
I am dead.

You’ve been gone a year now,
Whisked from my life in a night,
Taken by his evil ways,
Stolen from my very sight.

Yet still I think of you,
Your smile, your laugh, your ways,
But what can I do to help you?
When you believe everything that he says.

Tonight, I’d like to tell you,
I wont be thinking of you,
But what is the use in pretending,
I do miss our friendship, so true.

He and I do not care,
For each other, we can’t bare,
But for you,
I know we do,
Because without you,
We are blue.

You were mine, my honest friend,
For all those years before,
And now, from nowhere,
He has come,
And taken you to his layer.

Now I have tried to help you,
Save you from his wicked ways,
But what can I do to someone so cruel,
Without hurting you too.

So it’s been a year,
And there will be more,
That I’ll miss your happy face,
I wish I could smile,
And reassure myself,
That you are truly safe.

But if you can hear these words,
Through my mind in which I pray,
Remember that I’ll love you,
For every passing day.
