Lonely Girl- My Life

You see her hurt,
You see her cry,
And after a while,
You wonder why.

I'll tell you a story,
A story of a girl,
Who lived in a dark,
Lonely World.

Some days she's fine,
Others, she's not,
She hurts from the pain,
This life has brought.

A dad who didn't care,
She lucky he knew her name,
With all the lies he told her,
The stories were all the same.

"I'm sorry for this,
I'm sorry for that,"
When all he did,
Was treat her like crap.

An uncle who abused her,
Inside and out,
He wouldn't stop hurting her,
So she began to cry and shout.

It went on for five years,
Happened almost every day,
But now she has God to thank,
Because God's the one who took him away.

A mom that totally changed,
She was too busy with her drugs,
And living with a guy that beat her,
Just to prove that he was tough.

A new dad for this girl,
Which at first, seemed really great,
But after a few years,
Everything just turned to hate.

He was an alcoholic,
And he hurt her with his words,
No matter how loud this girl screamed for help,
She was never heard.

"Nobody wants you,"
That's what someone said,
So this girl started to believe.
She'd be better off as dead.

So she started to cut her wrist,
To dull the pain inside,
But then it got a little hectic,
Her arms, she had to hide.

79 was a count,
For the marks on her arm,
She couldn't let anyone else see,
How she brought herself to harm.

She hated the life she had,
A thought, she needed to find,
So suicide was the next thing,
That popped into her mind.

So everything was set,
She killed herself that night,
And nobody would ever find her,
Till the next morning light.

This poem is very true,
And now that girl is free,
I know this for a fact,
Because that lonely girl is me.
