Your Embrace

by Eden   Apr 9, 2005

In the soft wind of spring that caresses my skin,
This is how I feel…
Warmed not by wind that I cannot see,
But your warmth,
As you sit next to me.
This is where I belong,
Held in your arms like a father’s child.
I long for you; for your warm embrace.
This is how I feel,
Counting the stars this night
With time but a wish away
As I hold your hand.
This is where I’ll stay.
Because I’ve found something better than life itself.
I’ve found love; a myth I thought
Meant for others than myself.
When I am with you,
All else fades to nothing
Like waves in the sea.
I look into your eyes and find myself
Not able to look away.
This is how I feel.
So, I hope you don’t mind I when I say
That I care for you
And I want to stay like this forever.
Let us have life’s wishes,
If only to be within your arms.
