Who I am.

by Aleah   Apr 10, 2005

I'm not skinny
I'm not the same
I'm not giddy
And I have my own name
You try to place me
in steriotypes
you try to face me
and tell me lies
I know I'm different
thanks for pointing that out
I am who I am
there is no doubt
When I stand up to you
and defend my good name
it's not hate, that's my reason
It's not you, that I to blame.
Thanks for telling me
Where I might stand
But I don't need your help
thanks for lending a hand
Your critizism is unwanted
and your words are unheard
The laughter is unneeded
from the lies you have slurred.
I know word gets around
I know things might get changed
but that's no reason to keep on
and get things rearranged.
The point behind rumors
surpasses me
I don't see the humor
I don't see the glee
You must understand
My identity is mine
Just leave it that way
And things will be fine.
I know I'm not skinny
And I know I'm not fake
But drop it already!!!
Man, for pete's sake!
