A Reason To Smile!

by Jeff   Apr 11, 2005

The air smells sweet
The soothing wind keeps blowing
The sunshine completes the day
From far the drum beats are heard
Someone is dancing and enjoying
From the birds is sweet melodies
From the river is a sweet life
The kids are playing on the streets
Its spring time of the year
I enjoy seeing them happy
Sweet as angels in the movies
Challenges of life could be many
Many than what I could handle
But I am enjoying all that nature can offer,my soul feels at best
I walk around the streets
A beautiful lady smiles at me
I back and enjoy the feeling
Amazing to be alive and kicking
My body is free from pains
I can run and keep jumping
I can dance and laugh loud
Personal freedom is guaranteed
Isn't that a good reason to smile?
Money is not in my pocket
Neither is at the bankers hands
Love may be not a jewel anymore
Family matters could be as crazy as have always been
For sure that can't stop me from enjoying
I move on and smile all the time
Sitting on the rock at the lake shore
How beautiful the sunset is
I take a deeper breath and feel my inner parts
Life has a lot to offer Jeff
So much dreams to walk with
So much love from heavens above
A reason to smile
That is the best thing I could ever have.

Thanks, for asking me to read this poem...it made me smile (a real one)! Something I don't get to do very often anymore, and as crazy as it sounds, it also made me cry...not becuase I was sad..but because it was so beautiful, if that makes any sense. Well anyways, I really enjoyed it!
