Today will soon be gone

by Sabine Taylor   Apr 11, 2005

Today we will soon be gone
Like yesterday is gone
Like the time goes by
When the birds fly by
And the sun goes down
When the moon arises

Today’s laughter will soon be forgotten
Like yesterday’s events are yet unimportant
Because the time goes by
When the birds fly over the horizon
And the sun dips the sky into a deep red
The moon will arise soon
And the stars will let us think about tomorrow
That soon will be gone and forgotten

forgotten is such a lonely word. can't we say recycled. reprocessed. incorporated in such a way as to fade out of attention while building up the bigger picture. never forgotten.
