Unspoken

by Daniel Mulvany   Apr 12, 2005

Don't speak, I know just what you'll say.
It's the same thing you say every time,
That I can't do anything the right way.
Is my imperfection a crime?
What must I do to please you?
Do you not see how hard I try?
You bring on these tears as you do,
Then leave me here alone to cry.
You've come no further than you'd then.
You're too selfish, you think your too tough,
And I've given my all wonderin' when,
Will giving my all be enough.
All this rage and this anger witheld,
Waiting to hear the word's you won't say,
These word's, making everything well,
Giving me cause here to stay.
