All I want

by Heather   Apr 12, 2005

All I want is too understand.
Is that too much to ask?
All I need is a helping hand.
In front of whom,
I can take off the mask.
All I want is to sleep.
And to rid my mind of this agony.
Sleep so very deep,
I may never wake again.
I cannot bear this pain.
Send a little more sun my way,
I have felt the wind, and fought the rain,
For long enough.
Please, No more fear.
It has been too long since I’ve felt the sun,
And found a smile on my face.
I don’t want this life to be done.
But I can no longer run this race.
