High of Happiness

by Heather   Apr 12, 2005

Riding along on the high of happiness.
And all of the sudden you crash.
But you can’t break down.
Don’t cry.
Keep smiling,
Can’t let anyone know that you aren’t perfect.
Keep it all inside,
Wait until you get home.
Don’t dare show yourself to your family,
They can never understand.
Lock yourself into your room.
Finally.
Let it all pour out.
Pour your soul onto paper.
And out of your eyes.
Try to make it make sense.
But it doesn’t.
And you will get up tomorrow,
Just to repeat the process over again.
But the high of happiness will be long gone.
