Down the Rabbit Hole

by Kit   Apr 14, 2005

Run across skies electric blue,

Your only goal where you're going to.

Do not look left or right,

Just keep your focus on your flight.

Flip over now, upside-down,

Fly all the way up to the lime-green ground.

See your heart hammering outside your chest,

But just keep running, you know it's best.

Blood-red rain pouring down on you,

Crying of the sky's eyes, brightest blue.

Trecherous mud pushing you back,

Whispered screams announcing all you lack.

All this time running, sweating gold,

Wishing your shadow wasn't quite so bold.

Orange clouds blocking a silver moon,

Crystal salt-tears drowning you too soon.

Indigo tree trunks with lilac leaves

Reflect webs bronze spiders weave.

Up ahead, a bright pink light!

A way for you to escape this fright.

You weren't aware of the trap of my soul

When you dived down the rabbit hole.
