Good Bye

by Miss Rinoa   Apr 15, 2005

This is "goodbye" in a letter
left crumpled in a ball on the floor,
along with the rest of them,
all addressed to a certain nobody.
Maybe you'll find it in time,
or maybe I'll be long gone by then.
To where, I do not know.
You'll come looking for me, won't you?
Send a search party so we can celebrate
how you'll find my body lying face down
on the shore of some desolate beach.
Even then, I won't be there.
