The Tinted Mask

by erika   Apr 15, 2005

Underneath this tinted mask
Upon a face i once knew
Is only a faint description
Of the one i thought was true.

Behind my stone-blinded eyes
Only sincerity i could see
But then all fate had turned its tracks
To reveal his true identity.

Now the months have passes us by
For time to mend these wounds
But no power on this earth
Could heal these wounds so soon.

I'm stuck here waiting for the day
When time will bring him back
And the power from beyond this earth
Removes that tinted mask.
