Land Of the Unwanted

by Nicholle   Apr 18, 2005

In the land of the unwanted,
I sit there all alone.
Spirits surround me,
so do the unknown.

Friendships left on the streets,
broken hearts and dreams,
At points in the darkness,
all I can hear are screams.

Darkness surrounds me,
revealing my fears,
I start running,
Out of my eyes come tears.

I lose my breathe,
Let go of all hope,
But I still try to keep running.
My life has reached a steep slope.

Try to get myself out,
No exit found,
I keep crying and running,
until I finally hit the ground.

Breathing deeply,
Don't want to be caught,
Get these dark images
out of my thought.

I'm slipping in,
Giving in to the evil,
I just wish I could get away,
fly like an eagle.

Spirits are taking me in,
Going in my head,
At this point,
I'd rather be dead.

My thoughts are now dark,
just like the land of the unwanted,
From now on,
my thoughts will always be haunted.
