My Sweet Heather

by Eden   Apr 20, 2005

***This poem is dedicated to Heather, One of the only people in my life who can make me truly smile both inside and out.***
---------------------------------

The wind relapses and arms envelop the crying child in loving lover's embrace. Tears fall from the comforter's face.
Child, stop your crying, I'm here now, you'll see. I will be with you, traveling over this perilous sea.
Please, hold me with your shaking hands...feel my warmth and love of love's sands.
The resting wind awaits in vain for its chance to cause more pain.
But I alone am holding you now, I make my sacred vow.
Do not hear of the words that are spoken, like some theme park's old discarded token.
I am for you and you are for me, Forever we shall be.
I know not where these words come from...but yes, it is that familiar hum.
My heart beats so softly with the sound of your voice, the sound I make for the dialing choice...
...I seek every day to hear from your own heart, and now to see you in this pain...don't let me start
To cry
I love you so much more than life itself, please hold me and take me off this dusty shelf.
Come to me like a lost child needing... a mother, a lover, someone for pleading.
Can you feel the same for me?
Or is darkness how life must be?
My heart beats faster...faster still...have we the courage to fullfill.
Are thoughts the same tonight I wonder? Or am I spilling my heart out assunder?
My strength is yours as is my love and warmth.
I shall not leave...
On my love...
and on my will.
To leave would make my blood spill
With a kiss your heart shall never have been bruised, and with a hug, it shall be empowered.
This feeling is so much more than words can offer...I am lost to my emotions.
Love is what befits us,
For love is not and cannot be defined by words alone.
My hands are slightly shaking,
But my head is humming with many feelings:
Relief, joy, sadness, love...you
Oh, could others ever understand...
