Seen but not heard

In the past
people would last
by being seen and not heard
although that sounds absurd

People think I'm strange
they think they hear me loud
They all tell me to change
But i just tell them I'm proud

so people think they hear me
but do they hear what i say
or what i mean for them to see
they hear the same every day

Not realizing when i change
it stays deep inside
They don't know my true range
they just see the same side

The side of me thats hidden
away from all to see
away from all to hear
who really is the true me

so i guess I'm not heard or seen
as every things kept away
i might just be a stupid teen
but theres still lots i wont say
