From the Depth it Comes

by Paul   Apr 21, 2005

Crawling through the shadows,
Sending chills up you back,
You turn to see what it was,
But all you see is black.

You feel its cold breath,
You feel its dead eyes,
You hear it’s deathly screech,
You hear it’s clawing feet.

You keep your face to the sound,
Making sure you’re not found.
You cannot see it,
But you know its there,
For beyond the blanket,
Its deathly stare.

You turn your back,
In hopes to run.
It is to late,
You feel its stun.
Like statue you fall face first,
This is the end,
You know it’s the worst.

You close your eyes,
And take your last breath,
And prey to god that you will rest.
This is the end,
You can feel it.
A quick sharp pain,
And now its all over.
