Turning Around

Today is another shady day
Filled with clouds of black and gray
Broken hears and horrifying dreams
The echoing sound of unheard screams

A deluge of tears pour on the floor
Trying to stop only brings more
Alone in the shadowed corner of a room
There I sit, crying, trying to bloom.

Chased away by the people I love
Cornered by the reigning clouds above
Trembling, quivering, shaking with confusion
The only sun I see is just an illusion.

Torn right back to darkness once more
Superfluous darkness never known before
Tainted with all of the spilled blood
Thrown out of my asylum and into the mud

Worrying people who try to bring me to life
But they can’t pull me away from the knife
So many stabs calculate in the back.
My once bright life turned a tedious black.

Questioning myself if things will ever feel right
Or if forever I’ll be hidden from the light
And the only one who can turn things around
Is the girl I see sprawled dead on the ground.
