Roses

by Momentary Relapse   Apr 22, 2005

Soft velvet cushions
A gentle silky fabric
White smooth blankets

Pressing them to lips
Breathing deeply the fragrance
The silkiness surrounds

A spot of red appears
Kiss the gentle softness
Lift it to a cheek

A bead of crystal shimmers
Soak the gentle sheet
Holding close green strands

Blood shines from a bite
Dropping them in surprise
They’re strewn on the floor

this is a really good poem. it has a slightly sinister undertone to it (i think) and is really good.
